Wishing each and every one of you a very happy & prosperous new year. The year gone by has been one of the toughest years for all of us in living memory. The COVID impact has affected us in all spheres of life but this is a one-time incident due to a once in a lifetime pandemic. The past year has given us the time to introspect on improving and improvising our field. If the last year was all about adaptability, then let the theme for this year be 'perform & deliver'. The field of dentistry has immense scope & the right dissemination of knowledge in line with the 'new normal' is the way forward. The Dental Council of India is constantly striving to include various innovative teaching & learning methods which has been mentioned in my earlier message. I would also like an increased participation by all of you by means of emails. This will help us to address the concerns and also if there are constructive suggestions, we will definitely look into its feasibility. Like life, learning is also ever evolving & these testing times has got us into a new mode of digital dentistry and along with patient care, we now need to update constantly on this aspect too. A new year presents with new challenges & if we could endure the hardships last year, then I am sure we shall overcome all the obstacles in the present one too.
